You are invited to participate in a four week study that examines one of the most divisive and controversial issues in our culture today: the nature of human sexuality. We will dive deep into Christian theology, Biblical teaching, and church and cultural history as we talk, learn, listen, and pray together on this important topic. Over the course of this study, we will discuss:

  • A Christian theology of the body.
  • The history of the church’s understanding of marriage.
  • A close examination of the Bible’s teaching on homosexuality.
  • The places where the church can offer a positive vision of sex and sexuality to our neighbors and to the world.

This is a tough topic. It is one that is dividing families, communities, our nation, and even the church. Many of us feel anxious about these  divisions and how to live as disciples of Jesus in a changing world. At the same time, God promises that when we talk with one another, listen, and, most importantly, look to God for guidance, the Holy Spirit   will guide us toward a faithful future. In Ephesians 4, Paul instructs the   early church: “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the  Spirit through the bond of peace.” If you want a better understanding of this important topic, join us  beginning January 27, from 5-7 PM in the SFLC and continuing on February *3, 10, and 17 at the same time. *Our February 3 is subject to a time/date change due to the Super Bowl.
