Nicaragua Mission Teams Spring 2012
For six years, Western Hills has partnered with First UMC Big Spring to reach out to the wonderful people of Nicaragua. We have been Christ’s hands and feet in a desperately poor country whose needs are greater than anything we could envision in the US.
We have taken young people, “seasoned” seniors in their 70s, doctors, nurses, business people, stay-at-home moms and anyone else that God has called to minister to the hearts and souls of the Nicaraguan people. We have built small cement homes, healed ailing children, taught VBS, played with kids and shared smiles and God’s love. God can use any of us in ministry if we will listen for his voice, obey his command and follow him — even to a desperate, forgotten country like Nicaragua.
If God is calling you to step out in faith and try a short-term mission to a foreign county, we hope you will consider one of the three weeks in Spring 2012 to go with us and the Big Spring team to Matagalpa, Nicaragua. We promise you hard work and an unimaginable change in your own spiritual journey.
