As United Methodists, we strive to witness faithfully to Jesus Christ both as a community and in the way we live our individual lives. We hold fast to the traditional core of the Christian faith, the need of all people to be in life-changing relationship with God through the grace of Jesus Christ. But, we won't allow differences in the “non-essentials” of theology to divide us from one another.

 

We rely upon the theological heritage of John Wesley, founder of the Methodism movement of the 18th century: a knowledge of God grounded in scripture, illumined by tradition, realized in personal experience and confirmed through our gift of reason and intellect.
