The vision statement of WHUMC states that we will nurture the members of our church family. Our Caring Ministries provide the arms with which we accomplish this goal. We have a dedicated group of volunteers who visit hospitalized members and another group who regularly visit those who are either homebound or residing in nursing homes and thus unable to participate in church activities. We are continuously reminded by these people of how much these visits mean to them.Each week. we take the flowers that are left on the altar in honor or memory of a loved one, divide them into smaller bouquets, and deliver them to homebound members. We also offer Holy Communion observance to those who are unable to attend services.
